About The Artist

Ash Van Eyk was born in San Ramon, CA in 1997 and grew up in the DFW area. They were active as an artist in their youth, participating in public art shows and competitions like Art in the Square in Southlake, TX. In 2015, they were awarded a scholarship from the Aga Khan Foundation for their artwork in a regional competition. Despite their early interest in the arts, Ash studied Public Relations & Communications at Fisher College and Northeastern. During a semester abroad in Florence, Italy in 2019, Ash took their first and only oil painting class, and from there they began creating paintings on a regular basis, again. In 2020, Ash graduated and due to the extreme circumstances of COVID-19 they began to question the lack of honesty in the PR world and desire to pursue their life with more genuine purpose. A combination of isolation, fear of the future, and a desire to heal led them to quitting their job as a PR manager to sell their artwork full-time. Fast forward to 2024, they are currently running a small business, selling their work out of their private studio in Brooklyn, NY. Their work has been exhibited in several states and countries abroad.
